I watched and wonder, "Does all this increase my employment chances?" I know they do not, because even my prolific professor says that she is trying to bridge us and graduate school. I was hoping more for bridging our incomes gaps with the higher tier of the society. How does linear, matrix, order spaces help me in my future? I seriously have no idea, and I think the rest of my class have no idea either. "Theorizing! I am trying to teach you how to theorize abstract economic concepts....(he lost me here)"
Well... I am stuck in this ditch anyways. At least most of my other professors are as well, dynamic personalities that draw me closer to their modules. Just one, the one that I want to 'murder' (I put inverted commas because the true act of murder is not within my mind. It is used just as a metaphor of hate. I am NOT going to kill anyone.... DUH!!!) But well, maybe in the future (hopefully near), I will learn to appreciate his econometric modeling methodology. Maybe, depending on the field that I will be entering.
Feeling more and more stupid day by day as I face with constantly "slaps-in-your-face" harsh reality checks of personal incompetency. I can't do this, get stuck in that, get lost in another, get frustrated with myself.. blah blah blah.. The list of "suicidal-leading-incidents" (Again, not going to kill anyone, and "I" is a subset of anyone!!!!) goes on. Apologize to my list of friends that I complain to (some daily), although I seriously wonder who really reads my 'dying' blog anyways these days.

In the room
In the room.. so busy lately, I forgot many things. No time to really blog. Can I still manage a blog? I wonder..
EC4101 Microeconomic 3 - Honour module
I like the prof, I think his accent is cool! Finally, I got to know economics major with very very good grades. I cannot live in denial anymore. I will have to face up to them eventually.
EC3304 Econometrics II - Plugged into the Matrix
Sorry, quite lame, but yes, this semester, I have to learn Matrix Algebra. FASS people whoa.. while other faculties duh..
EC3332 - Money & Banking I - Loner
Taking the module alone, because I am late in it.
Going for its lecture later. Maybe I will get to see a lot of pretty gals? But I am doing this module alone. Will experience loneliness for one semester.
EC3371 - Developmental Economics - The End of Poverty?
Taking this module because I think economics should know what is the biggest more important use of it; help countries, help the poor, come up with useful policies that will benefit mankind. Hope I learn more from this module!
GE2202 Economy & Space - The YEUNG W. C....
Taking this module because I feel that economist should know beyond their own scope, and who to learn but from THE YEUNG!! After John Maynard Keynes, after the Great Depression, the world is still not brighter. In fact, with Subprime crisis, we could well be welcoming the CNY with a global recession! Cool? Economist, please wake up your freaking idea! Or are the businessmen at fault..
MKT3513 Game Theory and Strategic Analysis - Time to play the GAME...
Games again. Cool! What else is there to say, when you can study games for your learning!!! I hope I get more Thomas Schelling than John Nash this semester. This is a business module, there shouldn't be so much maths!
These are the reasons why I am so busy lately, plus some others. Can't blog more, but might come back soon....

Start of New semester
I have gotten most of my modules. I lack one, Economy & Space, taught by the Professor Henry Yeung. I am taking 6 modules, as I said. I realised that even if I want to, I don't think I can drop any of my modules to the norm of 5. This means I really have to work hard this semester.
Again, I will try to go on MSN less, (even though I am on msn now as I am writing this). I have yet to find a spot in my house to study, because distractions are everywhere. Distractions come from within, but sometimes, the environment play and important role in my studies.
In school, I have my space. Central Library 5th level, Singapore-Malaya Collection, the left side when you enter through its entrance, the 3 tables that have a grand view of the Lover's Garden. New Geo Soc room isn't the best place to study, because it has no window (Hint: my spot in CL have huge windows). I wonder how I can make Geo Soc room a spot for Geo Soc MC & Sub-com members. The space shouldn't be wasted. Still thinking...

New year, new room
Today, there will be a lot of moving. Yes, again, I am posting a morning blog, which means I am yet again in school so early. Today, the Geo Soc room is going to move to a new location. Today, we are going to have the first GC meeting for the year. Today, it will be the start of the new semester for me in terms of studying.
Morning NUS time is really extremely different from normal hours. No insane crowds, no noisy buses passing through, no rowdy students, no pretty girls and handsome guys. Just me, the cleaners, the air, the chirping birds, the stalls owner opening up their stalls, from CoffeeClub to the Art Canteen vendors.
Oh, no camera crew walking around with Ou Xuan (Jeanette Aw) and Lee Ming Shun (Christopher Lee). I saw them yesterday in Arts Canteen, followed by the Central Forum. They were filming some channel 8 show I guess, and whoa, the set looks pretty cool. I saw the track that the camera uses to have moving shoots! Cool! She and he both have very nice figures, and they both sound like themselves on TV. Cool! Its like walking a real-life TV, without the ability to change channels.

Behind my entries - DnD
Geographical Society DnD Night!!!
It was a hectic night for me, because I was involved in the programmes. The theme was retro night, or more specifically, Saturday Night Fever!! That explains all the weird looking clothes we were wearing!!Events hardly run perfect, and of course, mine was not close to it, but still, hope everyone had fun from it. Certainly grateful that its over cause it took up a lot of my time, opportunity cost was great in terms of studying!! Here are some of the photos from that night! ENjoy!
Very small, hardly can see me. Its ok, more important is to get the big picture!!!Complete my update. Oh, and ZY.. don't drink so much next time!! haha..

In NUS
Nowadays, I always go to NUS as early as I can, which is about 730-745am in the morning, to avoid the crowds, to make sure that I do come late for lectures and tutorials. Need to study more and harder, especially when I have a Japanese test coming this Saturday. Hope I can pass it with flying colours =) Need to study lo!!!! Ganbatte...

CORS and other stuff
Bidding is really disgusting. I did not get any modules pre-allocated. Modules timetable is also not favourable to me. Sad. Bidding is getting a bit too high. Actually spend a lot of time doing such 'rent seeking' kind of activity, ensuring that I gain 'monopoly position' in the various modules. Hate it, because its counter-productive. I could have studied my Japanese for the whole of last night and this morning, but I have to plan my modules. No choice, I shall not use up more time blogging. I have to start studying and give tuition later.

Work n play...
You all can see for yourself on my tagboard. My work in NUS have resumed. The duties are the same, but may of the people are different. It seemed like yesterday that I was the new bird, but now, I feel like the oldest. Even many permanent staff have left for greener pastures.
Doing gown collection for the past few days. The money is all right, but what I like about my work is the general working environment. Pay comes slow, about a month after you put in the time-sheet claim. Sometimes the staff really irks you because of the way they work. The people, because of the people there, as we are all undergraduates. Of course, the job scopes are more than manageable, and pay is relatively better compared to outside jobs, and location wise its good for me if I happen to be in school. It is this gown collection that I knew more people, some old some new. Interesting people, most whom are younger than me. In fact, I helped many former colleagues collect their gowns, as well as helped many other friends of mine collect theirs. Met up a lot of new people, including one friend that suddenly looks like a very hot channel 8 up-and-coming female actress, the one acting at the 7pm timing show that one + commercial of a shampoo brand. My friend is pretty, but very much attached (I think). I have her on my Friendster too (I think). Go figure it out yourself who she is, but please, don't disturb her ok? Oh, did I mention all the girls I work with are all pretty pretty? Maybe they will be on my Friendster soon.
Oh ok, onto the girls I worked with (in case they scold me that I never blog about them). They very fun loving bunch, always seem to laugh, but still on their toes at work. Basically these past few days I only have seen them, although I managed to slip in 2 shopping trips (by myself) and 2 meetings with 2 different friends, all while working for 2 full days and 2 half days within these 5 days. Too tired to blog anymore. Still want to read my stuff, as well as plan abit of what I can do to my problematic primary 6 kid. Stop sabotaging me!!!!

End of FIC, Geo Soc
Interesting camp we had. 6 freshies, which is more than last year, made the camp wonderful. Cocks up are bound to happen, but they were kept to the minimum and those that did arise were eventually solved. Thanks the weather for being the most kind, thanks the people for being so enthu. Thanks my ankle for being able to take the walking.
Great to know freshies, because they make me relive the days when I was a freshie. I feel older even more as a 23 year old to be now. Well done, because eventually, we pulled it out, even though some quit halfway, even though things did not look so great at the start. It did not matter now, because I know we made a difference in those 6 new faces of NUS, FASS. I know one at least that realised the harsh realities Uni Econs, the close relationship is has with Maths, a topic which many FASS undergraduates rather not touch. I too was warned by CH about the extremes of that major, preparing me well for the task. Sadly, many failed to see the link and fell short to achieve certain expectations of that major. I hope I managed to save one from being one. (I still have the passion for econs though)
Tired from all the camps that I have, but now, I am not freed. Next week, I have 3 days of work and plenty of tuitions to plan in, plus I promise to push for a Geo Soc outing. Keeping the promise is important to me, but more importantly, its I really want to meet up with them again to really enjoy ourselves. Maybe I already miss the campers, 7 hrs after we break from camp...

Taiwanese Students
Yesterday and 2 days ago entertained some Taiwanese geography undergraduates. 1 guy and the rest all girls. I and my pres brought a group of 2 girls and 1 guy around to Chinatown and Little India, before we had to go for a meeting and leave them to loiter in Singapore. It was really quite tiring because we had to do a lot of walking, and Singapore's sun is not of the most forgiving these few days. Luckily, we all survived with no heatstroke, even though we did not really hydrate ourselves adequately. My group was very lucky. We got treated by their prof and eat quite a hearty lunch, enough to kill me, its like we have to play 中及密码 to finish our food. My most over-indulging lunch since a real long time.
I myself had never really been to Chinatown and Little India, so the visits for them are actually as big an eye-opener for me as it was for them. On top of that, interacting with Taiwanese people is really interesting. Maybe because I watch too much Taiwanese variety shows, but they really remind me of the things I see on TV. Their actions, reactions and counter-reactions. They seem to be a much more lively bunch of people as compared to Singaporeans. Quote from my pres 'I asked them to all clap together to celebrate this wonderful day we had in NUS, and they really did it, and quite enthusiastically some more.' I was there too, and I could feel the difference, between my claps n their claps, haha..
More importantly, I learnt more about Taiwan in general, with the usual language trading of Singlish with Taiwanese language. Oh, forgot to say that I went pubbing with some of the girls too, and with J-OHN man, hha... it was an enjoyable night with them in general.
Hope they are able to get their papers done well. Hope they enjoyed their short stay in Singapore. Hope we have been a great host. Hope to see them in our trip to Taiwan in the near future in July. Also, I think my Chinese standard is still ok, at least they understand me in general, haha...

Mid of exams
In the middle of examinations period. Hope it to end soon. If you are still reading this, other than JH, cos you finished your freaking exams, go study!!!

Busy with exams
As if it is not obvious, I have not been blogging for quite some time. This is due to the examinations cramping that has occurred lately. This semester, I have not been that hardworking. In fact, I have been trying to not get to drawn in by studying, like what happened in the previous semester. It was crazy, sick, disgusting. This semester, I live a more balanced life, got to do more stuff that I want to do and honestly, I was able to earn some dollars from tuition and ad hoc jobs. Still, tough it is, only in a different sense.
I am worried about my future now. I fear that the path that I choose is wrong. Maybe I have not tried to be wrong many a times. I can only be correct, and not have to correct. Would like to draw this context to my previous entry, where I wrote that I feel humans do not really have control over their lives. In fact, I still think its true, and would like to add on. Is my future really mine to dictate? Do I really have the powers to shape what I want to achieve? Even if I achieve what I set out to be, like many others that have done so before me, could it be just coincidence? What about those that have taken the same path like me, but achieve different results? I have no idea which result I will get. I will only know in the near future...

Work and Study
Working now again. At the location I am at, this means that I can do almost anything else, but maintain a look that I am holding the reception well. My friends ask me how come its so weird that they will hire a guy for front desk reception. I do not know, haha… but I get paid, that’s enough. The job can get quite shitty sometimes, with weird calls and requests, and also people that I do not really understand how to help. However, it’s all a learning process, learning how to handle situations that I am not sure of, or even not confident of, and still look confident. For example, there is an unauthorized parking in the car park that I am suppose to monitor also, but the lady is still in the car using her phone. She has been there since 8plus am in the morning, and its 9plus am already. I’m still waiting for her to left her car so I can issue a notice to her car that only visitors and staff can use the car park. However, she might be a visitor… that’s the problem, as if I will know who are visitors, who are not… ambiguous instructions with no clear guidelines. I guess that’s how the outside world works as well.
I have a test tomorrow, and I only studied half of it, the half that I am not so familiar with. I plan to study the other half today while working, and if I can’t finish it by 6pm, most likely I will carry on in the school library. Do not think I will stay in Geo Room at night, because it’s quite lonely in a small room.
Ok, I better get started with studying. Morning is the time where there are hardly calls or walk-ins.

21th Birthday party
I went for one. My first one this year. Her name is Li Wen. Another friend turning adult. I bought her a gift and made her a card. I still think the design of the card is not that great, but the engineering is something that I am very proud of. I took a few moments to think and visualise it, and than one whole night to execute it.
Quite a few people came, and I am pretty glad that I was cordially invited. Saw many people, and met up with many of them. We ate salad, watch 'Van Wilder' and played 'Taboo'. Unfortunately, I had to leave early to meet another group of friends. If not, I would have stayed on longer. The other group of meeting was also an interest meeting, because I only get to meet them not that often. We are all busy people, and its hard to get busy people to meet up. Some old stuff. We ate, we talked (cock) and we left.
I would like to draw the topic to myself. After I left my friends to go home, I felt a very deep emptiness inside me. I realised that seeing all my attached friends might be making me feel a longing of a relationship again. I guess the feelings are always there, just whether they float out inside me or not.
I am still thinking of the relationship things my friend told me. I had a 5 hour long talk with him about our lives, haha.. and it was a very interesting and thought-provoking conversation. Never mind we did not study. I think I learnt a lot of things from the conversation, about him and myself and a lot of issues.

Post Season of L0vE
Its so weird that after the season of love, there has been a rise in situational conflicts between many of my friends that are attached. Is this some form of market cycle that is bound to happen? Under such situations, its actually best to not be in the market. In this context, I mean not being attached. Love is such a complicated situation, and I always thought my econometrics modeling was difficult, or that macroeconomics movements of IS and LM curves that affects interest rates and national income are tough.
I know its tough, and although I have never been in a relationship, these troubles always seem to find me. Still, I know my magnitude is incomparable to them. I sincerely wish that their love life will get better, that the cloud will clear in their relationships, and that they find peace, comfort and pleasure in their relationships.
I think I screw up my interview today. I think the company is more established than I thought. No problems, because I think I did excel in some aspects, just that I was taken aback by some questions and also the 45-minute written test. I guess they might be a bit taken aback by my hair which I did not cut. Nonetheless, I remember what one of my friend told me, that is in life, you can take away a lesson from anything, and I did take home a few lessons today. That already makes the interview worth the trip.
Amazing whom I had lunch with today. A group member of my Urban Economics tutorial last semester. We had lunch because we met in library, and we were both hungry. Having nothing to do, we went to the denture for lunch, a place which she never went before. Within my interaction with her, do not know how many times she conned me, saying that she is Muslim, and other lies, haha.. I am a naive, innocent young boy, but I really think she lies very well. Do not know when to trust her.

Midterms over...
I think I should update my blog. I have been busy with my midterms that I have not really updated my life here. Also, thanks to Matthew for reminding me that I have a blog here. Hehe.. just had a short chat with a friend, and she made me realise how bad I was last semester. Haiz... I still cannot control my mood that well ah, but I think its improving, at least slowly it is. It was much worst in the past, but well, this makes me human. Sorry ah, but I know she is a nice girl, so do not think she will hold against me one. =)
Savings are coming to place. Next phase have to start soon. The market seems to be crashing at the right time. Good. I'm coming soon. Can take some time off to from studying to refresh myself. Will add more words to this blog site soon. All the best!!!

My life in NUS
I study in weird school. I life in a weird world. These few days, I am rather busy with enjoying life. NUS never fails to screw up my life. This thing, its a positive thing, but maybe it actually adds more twist to the plot.
Today, I got a letter from NUS, telling me that my CAP score has been adjusted. It increase by 0.11. Then, they want to meet me up soon. Rumours have it that its some screw up on their part. Well, it certainly is not mine. No wonder I think I did miserably lousy for that module, too lousy that it was one of my worst modules ever. Still, I past that module before admin revisions.
Real estate has a very different culture from FASS. I am starting to like my real estate classes more, because I get a different education from there. Not preferably greater, but certainly different. And I think I found my niche area that I really want to go into. Several actually.
Oops, too tired to write more. Still feeling flu-ly. I need more sleep. Need to go settle more stuff now too. Tomorrow, I will strive to be what I always wanted to achieve.

I am quite pissed right now. Screw up. Everything. 忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍. My university screws up my life. Haiz... 忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍忍 and its the administration, not even the workload. Lousy University. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy.
Nonetheless, I am already taking this much better than when I was in the past, which reflects signs of some maturity. Of course, I am still feeling angry for the lacking in understanding of students issues. Now I do not even have the mood to study, because my mood is very affected by the stupid administration. Lousy Lousy Lousy.

Settle down
I think I need to settle down. Think I am soon. Bought all my books today, and it was quite funny, I actually took my seller the wrong thing about my attire, so she was not able to find me. Also, the seller is actually my friends gf. So small this world. Actually, all the people they sold and bought books from me are girls. I really have girl yuan, but still, I got no gf, haha..
This sem, I think some modules I have quite a lot of workload. OK. I will stop slacking now, and go do my readings already.
