This might be a late entry, but I have been busy to keep track of current affairs. Yes, sport channel is going to increase by more than 50%, and for whatever reasons, I really do not care. I do know that my family has cut our sport channel, just that my father still wants his WWE, so we keeping one.
I feel that we cannot let Starhub carry on his monopoly. Before we had Cable, life was per normal. We had nothing, but we still felt happy. No EPL, no F1, no (stupid) golf.. Now, I believe that the marginal benefit of watching EPL is less than the marginal cost of paying so much. Singaporeans, soccer is not life, life is. If this sounds too damn stupid, it is, because if you want to pay $25/month for EPL, which does not run for 12months. Calculate the cost, because I do not know the exact matches and costs, because I do not care at all. I know its not worth it already for me.
I am here to call upon others to consider about the cost involved in it. Is it worth it? HBO is only $12/month. Daily movies cost more than tri-weekly live soccer matches that we can hardly follow!!! Of course there are other games, that is if you watch tennis, golf, racing, golf, golf, golf.... golf... more golf... Want to watch EPL? Go clubs people. Not every game is worth watching to begin with, and watching with friends is far more worth it. I have already made the decision. Have you?
