Push for renewable energy

Why push for renewable energy? I think global warming may be a reason, but for those that do not know, there is another school of thought that feels that its the Sun's abnormal solar activity that is causing global warming, and not human activities. That is something that is still up for debate. However, I think there are other reasons that we should all go for renewable energy.

1) Pollution. Carbon emissions are a danger to our health. Like cigarette smoke to our health, all the fossil fuel burning is destroying our health, our crops, our buildings.

2) Exhaustion of our fossil fuels. There have been predictions that they will be fully depleted within our lifetimes. By then, what will our lives be? Night with no lights. No computers, no vehicles, no a lot of things.

That's all that I can think of for now. Still, I think there are more points than here. I hope there will really be a push for renewable energy, and not just for economic reasons, but for bigger reasons.

Hi Cliff

I like your blog - it's very well designed. I like the animated header and the country feel. It's quite rare to get a blog that can make you feel like you are somewhere else.

A couple of days ago I read your post on renewable energy, and agree that it is a great idea because fossil fuels are polluting the air, and they are getting depleted.

Meanwhile, today i was at the NewScientist website and found an article on the influence of solar activity. It is true that solar activity changes over time, but they explain why blaming it for Global Warming is not so true.

Anyway, well done on your blog - it's an enjoyable visit, and you're a good writer.
