Feeling old, reasons why

Feeling old and here is why.

1) Ailing body. Knee, ankle, sometimes back, elbow and shoulders, all on the left side. Body needs replacing. Sporting life endangered, and saying it might be my final year is not something that's completely ridculous. Body and health is most important, no matter what.

2) Many cousins are married. Lost count, but another one got married last year. My mother and father side families are all pretty well married. Although its too early, but I can envision that 5 years down the road, relatives will be honing me for my turn. Hope by then I would have an answer.

3) I am an uncle already. I have been an uncle for some time, but nowadays I have more nephews, making my elevatored status more evident. Lost the child in me to all of them. Seeing how cute they are made me realise how cute I was, and how sad that I have lost that.

4) Passing on of all my grandparents. My mother's mother passed away last year, and now, I do not have any more grandparents that are still with me. With the nephews, it makes many of my relatives into grandparents. Its the moving on of one gen to another. Soon, I will become a part of another gen, moving on from the younger, youthful yester days.

5) New Year do not feel like New Year no more. Yes, its not as exciting as before. Not everyone gathers as before. Grandparents are missing, and really, they had the power to gather the family that they had formed before they spiltted to form their own. They were the reason for gatherings of the past. Now, we struggle to find any reason, other than festive seasons, but that too is a reason too weak to call upon everyone's attendance.

6) Offical adult. Yes, I have passed the 21 years old psychological maturity age. Even my cousin says I look more mature, and that I look more like my brother. Army toughened me up to a stone, while uni softened me to a nicer texture.

Old and mature. I will strive to be mature :)
