Give n take

Today woke up very late, ard 11am+, n din go to someone hse to bai nian(give), cos i wanted to chat w my Hong Kong friend(take). i dun always get to stay online till so late, esp for a stay-in personal like me. But it is nice chatting w her, so i dun mind =)

Nowadays my sister's computer usage is increaing, as she needs to do her projects n play her neopets(give). In a way, when she uses my computer, its forces me to do the things i have to do, like reading, n not indulge in computer games(take).

My mother told me that she would pay for the funiture that im buying for my room, so i can use my hong bao money for my HK trip. I told i rather pay it myself(give), cos i wan to be more independent n self-sufficent(take). Reaching 21 yrs old already, cant always depend on my parents to bail me out. My mother has been paying my HP bills since i had one, so buying my own furniture is very minute.

Went to a friend's hse to play mah jiong(take) rather than staying at home to attend my parents CNY party. They invited alot of friends. Felt bad, cos although i wun be much needed, its always gd to stay at home to let their friends see me, haha... not staying back like not giving them 'face' =( Friends or family is always a hard choice, but i chose friends this time. In a way, i might lose out in terms of the hong bao i could have gotten from them. Hopefully they might give to my mother for safe-keeping, hehe...

The mah jiong game was interesting, lost 50cents in the end, haha... Had a winning streak at the start, then a losing streak at the end. The last set (or sth, haha... i dunno how to say it in english) i had very gd titles, but in the end could not win, or else could have gotten back 3.2+1.6+1.6= $6.4. But nvm, playing mah jiong is more abt the interaction rather than winning or losing. i always lose ard $10+, so losing only .50 is pretty ok. The one that lost the most also only lost $4+. haha.. in mah jiong, we are just kids playing for the kick. Money is secondary.
