The Fa Choi Spirit

Watching the Fa Choi Spirit by Andy Lau n Gigi Leung. A show abt mah jiong one. My family has always banned gambling, so i only get to gamble outside w friends. Not the 1st time watching this movie though, but always like movies by Andy Lau, so i dun mind watching it again.

The movie is pretty funny, talks abt someone that is very gd at playing mah jiong n his trials n tribulations when luck turns against him. I watch the show purely for leisure, as if u expect me to watch it to improve my mah jiong skills, haha. I like the message frm the movie abt Pai Ping. The closest translation is have for Pai Ping is charactor on the gambling table. Whether u win or lose, its the process that counts, the ability of knowing when n how to cut ur losses, how to turn the tables ard on a bad hand, n basically not losing ur temper/mood even when u are losing.

Andy Lau does it again w his great acting. The villian (sorry, forgot his name, but his face is a hsehold name in HK) compliments his role very well, while Gigi Leung is ever so beautiful.

The last time i saw the movie, i was late for an appt, but still carried on watching, being completely oblivious to the timing i was suppose to meet. I just found the show too interesting to resist, esp w its inspiring Pai Ping theory, n there's Gigi Leung in it, hehe... =)

Trying hard to imrpove my own Pai Ping also, cos i am not very skillful in mah jiong also, haha... =)
