Finally, the saga of Singapore's worst military event has 'ended'. The people 'involved' have been given their sentence. But one thing cannot be changed. Someone did die from the hands of someone in the army, although not out of pure intention, but i feel it was not just pure human error after all.
Murder would be hanged, Manslaughter would be 20yrs rit? 'Accidentially' causing someone to die in the army?? well, 9 months. Thats quite a gd trade!!! i was rather shocked when i saw the verdict.
Although i dun really know him as a friend, i used to play bball w him in sch. he is one yr my senior in TCHS, n is some of my seniors' friend. Like wat my mother say for his parents, 'brought him up so big already, put thru gd edu n stuff, just die like that, kei sim sia'. He was also my brother 2SG in his Unit. Heard from my mother my brother was damn sad abt his death.
Its really saddening that such things happen. Just glad that i am abt the leave this f&% up place.
